A trendy, quick breakfast featuring thick bread slices indented and filled with a creamy, lightly sweetened yogurt custard, topped with fresh berries and baked until golden.
食材
- ✓2 slices thick-cut brioche or soft white bread
- ✓60 ml Greek yogurt
- ✓1 large egg
- ✓15 ml maple syrup or honey
- ✓0.3 tsp vanilla extract
- ✓30 ml fresh raspberries or blueberries
- ✓1 tsp powdered sugar
仔细检查食谱的准确性。
说明
1
Preheat your oven to 204 °C (200 °C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
💡
提示:An air fryer can also be used at 360°F (180°C) for a quicker cook time.
2
In a small mixing bowl, vigorously whisk together the Greek yogurt, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until the mixture is completely smooth and free of lumps.
💡
提示:Using a small fork or mini whisk ensures the egg incorporates seamlessly into the thick yogurt.
3
Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet. Use the back of a spoon to press down the center of each slice, creating a shallow well while keeping the edges intact.
💡
提示:Be careful not to press so hard that you tear completely through the bottom of the bread.
4
Divide the prepared custard mixture evenly between the two bread slices, pouring it directly into the compressed wells. Top with the fresh berries.
💡
提示:Press the berries gently into the liquid custard so they stay in place during baking.
5
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the custard is set and the edges of the bread are beautifully golden brown and crisp.
💡
提示:If using an air fryer, check on it at the 8-minute mark.
6
Remove from the oven, let cool for 2 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving warm.
💡
提示:Letting it rest briefly allows the custard to finish firming up.
📝厨师备注
This dish is best enjoyed immediately while warm and crisp. Feel free to substitute the berries with chocolate chips or sliced bananas for a fun flavor twist.
