Allergies & Dietary Restrictions:

Users must review all ingredients and instructions to ensure compatibility with their health conditions, allergies, or dietary needs. YUMZY is not liable for adverse reactions.

Cooking Risks:

Proper food handling, storage, and cooking techniques are the user’s responsibility. YUMZY disclaims liability for foodborne illnesses or mishaps.

Cookbooks & Shelf Organization:

Users may organize recipes into personal cookbooks and custom lists. Cloud synchronization and management tools are provided to assist personal cooking and collection management.

Unit Conversions & Serving Scaling:

Tools for converting measurement units (Metric / Imperial) and dynamically scaling ingredient amounts based on selected serving counts are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. When scaling recipe yields, cooking times, evaporation rates, and seasoning balance may not scale linearly; users should exercise their own culinary judgment.

Shopping Lists & Smart Item Parsing:

Automatic ingredient extraction and grocery list features are provided to assist with shopping management. Users are responsible for verifying quantities, units, and allergen labels before purchasing or preparing ingredients.

Cooking Mode & Timers:

Step-by-step cooking mode and integrated kitchen timers are assistive tools. Users remain responsible for kitchen appliance safety, monitoring cooking temperatures, and food safety.

Cookbook Sharing & Shared Libraries:

Unless otherwise specified, when you share a cookbook link, anyone with the link can view the cookbook and its included recipes, and add it to their personal library in read-only mode. Shared cookbooks are accessible via unique link and are not publicly indexed. You are responsible for ensuring that all content in your shared cookbooks complies with our User Content guidelines.

Content Ownership & License:

You retain ownership of the recipes, images, and other content you create and share on YUMZY ("User Content"). By submitting User Content publicly, you grant YUMZY a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the platform. You represent and warrant that you own the content you upload or you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share such content on YUMZY.

Prohibited Content:

Users must not upload, share, or create content that includes or relates to: explicit, adult, or sexually suggestive material; violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery; hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content; illegal activities, substances, or instructions; misleading health claims, unsafe or dangerous cooking practices; personal or sensitive information of others without consent; copyrighted or proprietary material without proper authorization; spam, advertisements, affiliate links, or promotional content. Uploading content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited.

Image Upload Guidelines:

Uploaded images must be appropriate, food-related, and relevant to the recipe. Users may upload up to 3 images per recipe. By uploading images, users confirm that the images are their own original work, or licensed, royalty-free, or otherwise authorized for public use. YUMZY does not claim ownership of user-uploaded images but reserves the right to remove images that violate these guidelines.

Content Moderation & Verification Systems:

YUMZY may use a combination of automated software systems, algorithmic screening, and manual moderation to evaluate publicly shared recipes, cookbooks, images, profile content, and related submissions. Moderation processes may occur automatically, manually, or upon receiving user reports. Automated software and human reviewers can make mistakes, errors, or incomplete judgments. Approval by our moderation systems does not constitute a safety guarantee, endorsement, or certification of accuracy by YUMZY. YUMZY is not obligated to pre-screen all content and does not guarantee that all violating or erroneous content will be detected. You remain solely responsible for all content you create, upload, submit for review, or share through YUMZY, including all culinary, safety, dietary, allergen, health, and intellectual property consequences.

Cookbook Sharing and Safety Disclaimer:

Cookbooks shared on YUMZY are user-generated collections. Public sharing of cookbooks requires approval by our automated and/or manual moderation systems. Neither automated algorithms nor human reviewers guarantee that approved cookbooks or recipes are error-free, accurate, or safe. Inaccuracies in ingredient quantities, steps, allergen notices, or cooking temperatures may occur. Users are strictly responsible for independently verifying all food preparation, food handling, and allergen safety details before cooking.

Public Recipe Eligibility and Approval:

The ability to share recipes publicly may be limited to users who satisfy eligibility requirements determined by YUMZY, including account standing, subscription or plan requirements, policy compliance, and any additional conditions we may introduce from time to time. A recipe marked for public sharing may be routed into an approval workflow before publication, and YUMZY may approve, reject, delay, unpublish, restrict, or request changes to any recipe at its sole discretion. Submission for public review does not guarantee publication, continued visibility, distribution, or indexing.

Reporting System & Notice-and-Takedown:

Users may report content they believe violates these guidelines using the reporting tools available on the platform. Reported content is reviewed on a best-effort basis. Content receiving multiple valid reports may be temporarily hidden pending review. YUMZY reserves the right to remove content in response to valid copyright or legal complaints.

Enforcement Actions:

Violations of these policies may result in one or more of the following actions, at YUMZY's sole discretion: removal or hiding of content; temporary restriction of upload or sharing privileges; account suspension or permanent termination; cooperation with legal authorities in cases of serious or repeated violations. YUMZY reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation of these policies and to take appropriate action to protect the platform and its users.

Liability Disclaimer:

YUMZY is not responsible for User Content uploaded by its users. All responsibility for uploaded content, including legal liability related to intellectual property rights, rests solely with the user who submitted the content.
